The name of Antelope Canyon was due to brown-red walls, reminiscent of animal skin. Whimsical relief canyon filled within days of running out of numerous cracks. Several centuries, water and wind to grind out a red sandstone deepening. Rare torrential rains flooded the canyon, washing away the top layer of sand - so the water forms an internal amazing relief of the rocks.

Antelope Canyon lies on Navajo land belongs to the Indians of the tribe. To get there, you need to pay a fee for passage through Indian Territory.

Favorite place for photographers: strange, but the colors and intricate patterns of rocks in the pictures look more colorful and fantastic than it actually is.
